The Investment

Many family farmers face a common challenge: growing high-quality produce without knowing whether there will be a reliable market for it. At the same time, consumers often purchase fruits and vegetables that have traveled long distances through complex supply chains before reaching grocery store shelves. Seal the Seasons was created to strengthen regional food systems by partnering directly with family farms and freezing produce close to where it is grown. By preserving fruits and vegetables at peak ripeness, the company helps farmers access additional markets while making locally sourced food available to consumers year-round. Since 2023, Abundance Angels have recommended more than $110,000 in capital to support Seal the Seasons and its mission of building stronger regional food systems. The investments have helped support farmer partnerships, regional sourcing networks, and the infrastructure needed to bring locally grown products to market at scale. Seal the Seasons partners with more than 120 family farms across thousands of acres of farmland, creating additional market opportunities for growers while helping consumers access locally sourced products through major grocery retailers. The investments reflect a long-term commitment by Abundance Angels to strengthening regional food systems and supporting the farmers who make them possible.
