Universal Therapeutic Services provides accessible, affordable, and culturally sensitive behavioral health services for children and families in Upstate South Carolina.

Access to mental health care remains a significant challenge for many families in South Carolina, particularly those seeking culturally responsive care that reflects their lived experiences and communities. Universal Therapeutic Services (UTS) was created to help meet that need. The organization provides behavioral health services for children and families, with a focus on delivering accessible, affordable, and culturally sensitive care. Through counseling, case management, and family-centered support, UTS works to strengthen systems of care and improve outcomes for families across the Upstate. In March 2023, Abundance Angels recommended a $53,000 loan to support the organization’s continued growth and operations. The capital provided working capital for payroll stabilization, clinical service continuity, program development, and infrastructure needed to expand access to care. The investment supported an organization working to expand behavioral health services for children and families while helping address longstanding gaps in access to care within historically underserved communities.
